Helping people suffering from musculoskeletal
conditions such as back and neck pain.

  • Chiropractic Treatment

Chiropractors are neuromusculoskeletal specialists who assess disorders related to the spine, extremity joints, muscles, tendons, nerves and other myofascial structures of the body and provide diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these disorders. Our goal is to decrease pain and disability and facilitate the earliest possible return to work and normal activity.

  • Massage Therapy

A deep tissue or sports massage uses deeper pressure and cross muscle fiber friction in order to release tissue that is adhered or in spasm. Some of the benefits of this type of massage therapy include pain reduction, improved range of motion, improved flexibility, improved circulation and decreased muscle tension.

  • Custom Foot Orthotics

If you suffer from foot, ankle or lower limb pain, custom orthotics/insoles may be able to help you. Our orthotics are custom made based on a mold of your feet and are designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position. To determine if an orthotic is right for you, Dr. Carey will perform a gait analysis along with a history and physical exam of your complaint.

Additionally, we direct bill the Workers Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) and motor vehicle insurers (if you have been in an accident and require treatment).

Do I need a referral from my family doctor to see you?

No, you do not need a referral for chiropractic services. Some insurance plans require a referral for massage therapy.

Treatment is patient specific consisting of a combination of spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy/muscle release, stretching, kinesio-taping and active rehabilitation/core conditioning.

How long does it take to get better?

Most patients will notice a difference in their symptoms with the first few visits. Every patient is different and will respond to treatment differently depending on general health levels, physical fitness, the length of time the issue has been present and the severity of the issue.
